- Added value to the field
- Modeled how to sustain and grow a theory,
- Attracted a diverse constituency of practitioners.
The award honors writers and theorists who have sustained their work through:
- Exemplary leadership
- Active participation and promotion of the theory
- Creative implementation of the theory
- A strong organizational focus, and
- Demonstrated impact on the OD community
