Learning that takes place outside the meeting rooms is as valuable as the learning inside them. Connect with peers and colleagues who really get it. OD Network Conference 2006 offers unparalleled opportunities to meet, share, and problem-solve with like-minded colleagues. Take your pick of networking opportunities you won’t find elsewhere: a topic-driven roundtable luncheon, planned and spontaneous self-organizing group meetings, and two high-energy networking receptions that will kick off and end the event with a flourish!

Yoga for Early Risers
Rise and shine! This class is open to anyone—with or without experience—regardless of what shape, age, or condition you are in! We will build from basic movements to poses (asanas) at a level of ability that everybody can feel comfortable with. The class will be conducted by Maria Calabria, a certified yoga instructor and graduate of the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco.
A few tips and requirements: Wear comfortable attire—T-shirts with shorts or footless tights are recommended—and be prepared to be barefoot. Do not eat immediately before the class. Please bring a yoga mat, big towel, or anything you can use to sit on the floor. Advise the instructor if you have a significant health problem or are pregnant.
Community Space
Community Space provides a gathering place for conversation, connections, and discussion. You’ll find a message board for linking up with other attendees and a place to leave literature you’d like to share with others. Down the hall and around the corner, you’ll find a quiet and comfortable space where you can read, chat, reflect, and re-charge!
Job Exchange
Contemplating a job change? Have a position open in your organization? Look no further—the Job Exchange will be in California this year! The Job Exchange provides scores of jobs for job seekers to review, and a broad range of résumés for organizations to peruse. Find the perfect job or the right candidate for that difficult-to-fill position.
If you’re interested in posting a position, the fee is $200 to post both on site and on the OD Network website for 30 days. If you’re interested in listing your résumé, send 10 copies to the OD Network office by October 9 with $10 for shipping, or bring 10 copies with you to the conference and register on site. For more information, contact Mirlande Parker, Operations Administrator, at +1.973.763.7337 x 27.
Book signings
This year’s conference program is rich with presenters who are also well-known authors and OD thought leaders. Be sure to look for the schedule of author signings at the Conference Bookstore.
OD Network Conference Bookstore and Shipping Service
Most conference participants love to learn and love to read. Our partner, Business Outreach Books, will put together an intriguing mix of learning materials—so make time in your schedule to browse! If you find you’ve purchased more books (or other items) than you want to carry home, the bookstore offers a shipping service, too.
OD Network Board of Trustees Annual Meeting
On Sunday at 4 p.m., meet the Board and the Executive Director of the OD Network. During the annual business meeting, you’ll hear a summary of this year’s goals and achievements and get an update on the strategic direction of the organization. The Board welcomes your thoughts and input about how the OD Network can best act to fulfill its mission. For an additional opportunity to offer input, look for this year’s concurrent session with Maggie Hoyer, executive director.
