Saying Goodbye and Good Luck
Dear friends and colleagues,
At the end of December, I am stepping down after seven years of serving on the Board of Trustees of the OD Network and completing my term as Chair of the Board. It has been an exciting and invigorating time to be working with so many of you in building the OD Network into the wonder that it has become today.
We set out to make OD “central to creating effective and healthy human systems in a sustainable world.”(OD Network Vision for the Field)
As I look at where we’ve been and what we’ve done, I think that the OD Networkand the field, overall—isin a better place.

Women Working Together—Issues and Strategies for More Productive Engagement Between Women at Work
Presented by: Anne H. Litwin, Ph.D.

Why do women often feel belittled, betrayed or sabotaged by other women in the workplace? "The New Rules for Women: Revolutionizing the Way Women Work Together" (Third Bridge Press; September 2014) delves into this vexing and vital question. Based on her original research into women’s relationships, communication and expectations at work, Dr. Anne Litwin reveals startling paradoxes that spur misunderstandings, conflict and resentment between women on the job.

Beyond shedding light on the problem, Dr. Litwin offers workable solutions to help women develop more supportive relationships with female colleagues at every level—for the sake of their own job satisfaction and their organization’s success.
Anne H Litwin, Ph.D.
Anne Litwin has been a consultant to organizations and a coach to senior managers for more than 30 years in the United States and internationally. She has worked in China, Africa, Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Mexico, Europe, and Canada.
She has been the CEO of her family retail business and is the past Chair of the Board of Directors of NTL Institute. She recently authored a book entitled, “New Rules for Women: Revolutionizing the Way Women Work Together,” which will be the focus of January’s webinar. Dr. Litwin is also co-editor of the book, “Managing in the Age of Change,” along with numerous journal articles.
She received her Ph.D. in organizational development from Fielding University in 2008.
Call for MSOD Thesis Participants
My name is Arielle Threlkeld-Sullivan, and I am a current MSOD student at Pepperdine University in the midst of completing my graduate thesis. My research centers on OD practitioner values and the impact on behavior regarding the natural environment.
I’m interested in connecting with OD practitioners passionate about the environment, who are working in roles close to environmental issues.
My study involves two brief assessments and a 60-minute interview to further reflect on the life experiences and perspectives of these participants. The hopes of the study are to highlight the factors that contribute to one’s position and to leverage these factors in the development of future OD practitioners.
Please reach out to Arielle via email if you are interested in participating.
