Some of
the most significant challenges that companies now face concern leadership
development at both the individual and organization-wide levels. Leadership
competencies are defined and implemented differently in each company, depending
on values, culture, and systems.
Have
you or your colleagues been faced with questions such as:
-
Since
50% of our senior managers will retire in the next 5 years, what are we
doing now to replenish their knowledge and resources?
-
How do
we speed up the identification and development of our future leaders?
-
We have
identified succession candidates, but how can we facilitate the development
they still need?
To answer
these and other important questions, come to this exciting program which
will combine a discussion of best practices and current trends with a small
group experiential workshop. Case studies will be used in the small
groups so participants can explore the pros and cons of numerous approaches
to building leadership bench strength in different organizational contexts.
Barbara
Eiser, President of Paradigm Consulting, Inc., specializes in executive
coaching, leadership development, change management, and instructional
design/delivery. Prior to founding Paradigm, she was a VP at Northern
Trust Company She teaches "Leading Organization Change" in the MBA program
at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, and is a former Board Member
of ODN/C.
