Instructional Designer (2 positions available)

Description: Global multi-billion dollar corporation located in the Chicago suburbs is seeking an Instructional Designer. This is a hands-on position, reporting to the Instructional Design Manager, requires the candidate to have deep Instructional Design skills. Candidate will conduct job, task, and performance analysis to develop training objectives. Candidate must know and understand Adult Learning requirements. Candidate will design and develop instructional activities using various media and related training materials and tools to achieve learning objectives for various audiences and multi-cultural environments. Candidate will develop evaluation/assessment processes and instruments to measure training effectiveness. Candidate will prepare project status reports and select and supervise outside contract resources.

Client looks for:

3-5 years of Instructional Design skills in a Corporate Environment
Candidate must have Designed Soft Skills Training for an Adult Audience
A minimum of two years in Project Management is required
an outgoing, high-energy, flexible, individual who can work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines

Ideally, candidate will have been responsible for blended training: Instructor facilitated, on-the-job structured learning, self-paced, and paper based training. On-line learning (computer based and web) experience is a plus.

Candidate must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Must demonstrate personal effectiveness at building relationships. Must be able to demonstrate application of Instructional Design Principles. Candidate must also be able to demonstrate project management skills; ability to meet deadlines and stay within budget.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design/Instructional Technology, Communications, or related field, required. Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, etc., strongly preferred.

Purpose: Using principles and applications of instructional design, candidate will work with an international team of subject matter experts that focus on business initiatives to improve operational performance.
