JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our goal is
to build a high performance culture, and transform how HR operates. Our
primary focus for the coming year is implementing and managing an enterprise
wide project in performance management for North America, which includes
the application of the My Performance module in PeopleSoft. In addition
to understanding the technical aspects of a performance management system,
there are significant change opportunities:
We are looking
to sharpen the focus of business leaders on performance by supporting better
aligned objectives within and across business units, cascading objectives
as well as establishing better measurements, educating our managers on
managing underperformance as well as calibrating SMART Objectives and the
end of year performance reviews.
A fundamental
requirement of a successful candidate is the ability to facilitate change.
Implementation of the tool is necessary but not sufficient to drive the
necessary change in the business - this HR tool and process must be transformed
to a meaningful business tool. The successful candidate will have experience
using change management methodologies for immediate and long term impact
in enabling change.
A key element
of enabling change will be the ability to work with executive management,
understand the current barriers to change and the stakeholder groups as
well as the key characteristics of the culture.
Other capabilities
include the ability to strengthen the effectiveness of the organization
in the areas of alignment (people, process and structure),workforce development,
and building human capabilities using sound organizational development
techniques.
Solid knowledge
in the areas of Talent Management, People and Organizational Capabilities,
Measurements, Management Development, Leadership Development and Employee
Survey.
Able to run
enterprise wide projects with a small staff, and with project teams and
vendors, while influencing various stakeholders in HR and executive management.
Finally, we
are searching for a candidate with a high level of analytical/intellectual
ability, with interpersonal and presentation skills; knowledge of OD theory/practice;
ability to translate theory to practice; broad business knowledge and the
ability to gain a detailed understanding of the enterprise's strategic
objectives and their priority.
Ability to see
others' points of view and bring effective conflict resolution. Behavioral
event interviewing; career development; a broad OD skill set; current and
future focus. An ideal candidate will have 8-10 years OD experience
and a consulting background |
