Manager,
Organizational Development
Nalco
has an opening for a Manager, Organizational Development in our Human Resources
Group located in Naperville, IL. The Manager, Organizational Development will primarily be responsible
for working with Organizational and Management (OMD) team, HR Business Partners
and business leaders to support change management, organization design/redesign,
culture change/employee engagement initiatives, and other organizational
development efforts globally. The selected individual will simultaneously
work on a number of different projects as project manager, team member or
project coordinator.
Other Responsibilities include:
- Design and execute
initiatives to accelerate organizational and team performance specifically
in the areas of growth, productivity and cost control
- Act as an internal
consultant on large and small organizational change efforts (e.g., multi-departmental
process redesign efforts, merger integration, department-level redesign)
- Design,
deliver and manage various organizational and management development
activities and projects including steps such as needs analysis, defining
project scope, proposing programs or program changes, administering programs,
tracking results, etc.
- Collect and review
qualitative and quantitative data to identify opportunities to improve
organizational structure or job design
- Work closely with
the HR Business Partners to identify where change management/organizational
design expertise is needed
- Develop tools and
processes to support HR Business Partners and others in managing smaller
organizational design and development efforts
- As needed and as
time permits, participate in other OMD team projects including activities
such as training delivery, high potential coaching, succession planning
and talent management processes
- Make presentations
to communicate and to obtain stakeholder feedback
- Assess program effectiveness
and prepare reports and recommendations
- Depending on particular
project, travel may be required
- Other projects and
duties, as assigned
The minimum qualifications
the candidate will have include:
- Master's in Organizational
Development or Organizational Psychology or HR; Bachelor's degree with
8+ years of OD experience required
- Proven success in driving large-scale organizational change
- Organizational design knowledge and experience
- The ability to leverage prior experience to address Nalco's needs and
opportunities
- Ability to market self as an internal consultant
- A high degree of
comfort in dealing with ambiguity and change is critical
- Strong Microsoft
