Provider Relations

Loyola University Health System, located minutes west of downtown Chicago, is seeking an Ambulatory Education Specialist for a full-time, day shift position in our Provider Relations Department.

This position is responsible for providing effective training and education for Loyola staff members in various departments, including Ambulatory, Admitting, PFS and LUPF; the coordination of the New Service Rep. Orientation program, as well as facilitation of training courses; assists with the development of curriculum and course materials; and acts as an expert resource for Loyola staff regarding insurance registration and system questions.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in education, adult learning or related field; three years of training experience; Epic certification in Prelude and Cadence; ongoing certification in additional Epic applications as needed; computer skills for Epic, IDXTend (IDX EWS), IDX Radiology, Excel, Word, Visio, Power Point, and Groupwise; must possess knowledge of adult learning styles, instruction methods and techniques for adult learners, healthcare terms and managed care policies and procedures, knowledge of insurance registration policies and procedures; must have the ability to work as part of a team environment, to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time, to finish tasks in a timely manner, to deliver class material and presentations in a professional manner, to communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to present information to a diverse group of learners, to develop and maintain effective course materials, and to deal with people in a manner which demonstrates professionalism and sensitivity to individual needs.
