Organization Development Network of Chicago
Annual Member Meeting and Pot Luck Picnic
Saturday,
July 12, 2008
Noon - 3:00 PM
Elmhurst, Illinois
Come for a lazy summer day backyard picnic with good
food, good folks and good fun. Hear the story of the Organizational Development
Network of Chicago by talking with long-time members. Hear about
our future by talking with new board members. Leave satisfied and
energized from exchanging food and ideas. The official part of the
day, our Annual Member Meeting, will take place at about 12:30—to
briefly acknowledge the board transition.
The picnic will be at the Sanders’ home in Elmhurst. ODN/C will provide
hamburgers, hot dogs and soft drinks—all else will be provided
by attendees. BYOB if you want.
Please RSVP
by July 9th with the dish you are bringing
(serving 4-6) and get the address. Join us!

Ginny Whitelaw will be using her new book coming out this month, Move
to Greatness, to show us how we can escape the pitfalls of partial leadership
and literally move to the greatness of being wholly
effective and better balanced.
You will learn:
- Why each pattern
is essential, but when overused, leads to a “but”
- What pattern is
the accelerator of business
- What pattern has
the most fun, and best understands customers
- Why the pattern
of discipline can be bad for your heart
- When being laid
back is the best way forward
- Why the patterns
we like least become the people we have the most trouble with
- What “I’ll
have that report to you tomorrow by 10 AM” really means (hint:
it depends who’s saying it)
- How to get a team’s
patterns to match its purpose
- How companies like
IBM change their patterns to stay alive
- How you can explore,
focus, plan, and engage others in your move to greatness
