SPP Information

Inaugurated in 2001, the Student Paper Presentation (SPP) offers graduate students in both masters’ and doctoral programs an opportunity to practice key competencies as scholar-practitioners by writing a well-formulated and publishable paper, and submitting it for professional review.

The OD Network invites current and recently graduated OD students to submit publishable papers on any OD-related topic, and the range of possibilities is intended to be inclusive. For example, publishable papers may focus on a review and integration of past streams of theory and research, a new synthesis of familiar theories and research results, or a reinterpretation of an existing theory based on newly-emerging perspectives.

An experienced review team of senior scholar-practitioners will review publishable paper submissions and select the best publishable papers from those submissions that meet the evaluation criteria.  Selected publishable papers will be presented at the Student Paper Presentation Colloquium at the 2014 OD Network conference in Philadelphia.

These publishable papers should serve as drafts of or completed articles for publication. Winning paper(s) may be submitted for editorial review with the OD Practitioner.  Papers may need editing and revision to be considered for actual publication.
