Are You Ready to Meet the World in Portland?
We are excited to announce that this year's
OD Network| IODA Conference from the 17th-20th
of October in Portland, Oregon will be co-hosted
by OD Network and IODA, the International OD Association, two of the most prestigious organizations of our field in the world. So-with the aim of "Co-creating a Global OD Community"-we hereby invite you and your colleagues from around the world to come together in Portland for the:
2015 OD Network | IODA Annual Conference & 2nd OD World Summit.
The 2015 Program Committee is already working hard and having lots of fun in creating an outstanding program and a meaningful experience for all of us, and we-Lori Blander and Peter Kalmar - are just thrilled to be your co-chairs for this year, doing our very best to bring the world of OD together in the Pacific Northwest for this epic, milestone event.
In our vision this year's summit will be a fantastic global gathering that brings all continents and walks of life together, connected through a passion for OD. The conference will be a dynamic international event that facilitates learning and change at organizational, community and societal levels.

Request for Proposals
The Program Committee is looking for dynamic and engaging facilitators who not only bring their skills and experiences to the conference, but bring learnings to share with participants that are experiential, relatable and transferable.
Facilitators will host sessions on topics relevant to the three main themes (Our Field. Our World. Our Impact.), initiate conversations and dialogue that deepen understanding of OD principles and practices across cultures, and engage participants with emerging perspectives in our field.

OD Network is committed to building a sustainable culture of inclusion that creatively uses diversity to advance its work. It is our hope that members will share their knowledge, participate in professional learning activities, and contribute their diverse experiences and perspectives to advance both the theory and practice of OD in domestic and global contexts. An inclusive culture will increase member participation, enhance mutual learning, foster new professional alliances and create greater economic success for members and stakeholders. Ultimately, our collective impact as culturally competent practitioners will benefit clients and organizations where we work. The Culture, Diversity & Inclusion (CD&I) Committee is an outgrowth of OD Network's 2013-2015 Strategic Plan. One of the strategic goals of the plan is to "transform our culture of inclusion through expansion of values and practices."

When I was younger, I wanted to work inmedia and communications some way whether it was as a news reporter or in the crazy world of a magazine publisher. But I never imagined I would become a Managing Director of Corporate & Financial Practice at a leading global public relations firm, Burson-Marsteller. However, I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for my past experiences. The biggest hurdle I had to jump over was when I started my own consulting business while also moving to a new city. It was challenging to pursue my passion of becoming an entrepreneur while adjusting to a new city. However, I was able to succeed due to the support of business colleagues, family, friends, and the tools I learned from the OD graduate programs at American University and Benedictine University.

The M.S. in Organization Development (MSOD) program develops working professionals to assume leadership roles in the transformation of organizations through its emphasis on academic rigor and ethical practice rooted in Jesuit, Catholic tradition.
