Conference
OD Network Conferences put you face to face with hundreds of active OD professionals from around the U.S. and around the globe. Besides offering mind-expanding keynote sessions and a wide variety of concurrent sessions, conferences are designed with networking in mind. Planned networking opportunities include luncheon roundtables, meetings of affinity groups with common interests, receptions for the full conference or smaller groups, and an orientation session for first-time attendees. A community space is set aside for less structured interaction, and of course there are always the serendipitous conversations with participants who just happen to be in the same place at the same time. Check out the offerings at this year’s conference.
Member Roster
The online Member Roster puts full contact information for every member of the OD Network at your fingertips. You must be a member of OD Network to access the roster. You can browse by name or company, or search by name, company, or location. Search the online member roster.
Job Exchange & Consultants Directory
Whether you’re looking for your next opportunity or trying to find the person you need to spark needed changes for your client organizations, the Job Exchange and Consultants Directory can help. Job Exchange lists hundreds of OD jobs; access is free to members of the OD Network, who also receive a substantial discount on job postings. The Consultants Directory, set to debut in summer 2006, will list individuals and firms available for external consulting work, searchable by industry sector, specialty, location, or name. Access to the Consultants Directory is open to the public, but members of OD Network get discounted rates on their directory ads.
Center for Professional Development
The OD Network offers certificate programs and web-based classes on topics reflecting the latest thinking in the theory and practice of organization development, as well as online discussions of issues and concerns facing the field. And the best part is, the class or discussion isn’t over when it’s over! Participants post comments and documents to continue the conversation in our online learning portal.
Regional OD networks
Phone and online connections are great, but every so often you want to talk face to face with flesh-and-blood people who share your ideals and concerns. Once OD Network Conference is over for the year, many of our members turn to their regional OD networks to help fulfill their need for real-time, in-person contact. Find your regional OD network.
Email discussions
The people with whom you share ideas and knowledge may be around the corner or around the world, but they’re all interested, committed OD professionals with a point of view. The best way to find out what the really hot topics are—and who has the most to contribute to their development—is to participate in our email discussions. Join the general list, odnet, or a variety of groups built around particular interests or areas of practice: coaching, internals, nonprofits; GLBT, people of color, newer professionals, and many more. Learn how to join the dialogue.
