There are very few entry level positions in OD, which creates a chicken-egg problem for those attempting a mid-career transition. Many state they'd willingly volunteer to gain the experience they lack. Internships, however, are not readily available or appropriate when the average age of graduate/doctoral students in OD is 35+.

What may be helpful here is a regular virtual town hall meeting or webinar panel discussion / fish bowl, where mentors can offer approaches that have helped students navigate the uncertainty the face after graduation as they enter the field of OD.
