Growth Cycle GOOD Network started with a core group of 5 organizers in 2003, and we have grown to 180 by 2018.  We do no real marketing effort other than word or mouth and our dynamic website.  Our quality programs attract a large membership and we don’t really compete with other professional groups.
Average Annual Budget $12,000
Average Program Attendance 60-80 for our bi-monthly programs, 10-20 for Communities of Practice
Use of Technology We have a well developed website which handles almost all of our communication needs. Board meetings can be attended virtually via conference call, Skype / Google Hangouts.
Strategic Planning We had an all member strategic planning session in 2014 that gave us an organizational roadmap for the organization.  We hold a Board planning retreat in January to plan for the upcoming year and into the future.  In 2018, we are revisiting our mission/vision and finding new ways to deliver programming.
Succession Planning Our Bylaws state that our incoming President must have been a previous Board member.  We also appoint an Advisory Board of long-term members and former Presidents to offer guidance to the current Board member.  We have a strong recruitment process developed by the Nominating Committee and many of our Board members start as Community of Practice leaders or members of our committees (communication, hospitality, membership, etc.).
Funding 99.5% of our revenue comes from membership dues. We do charge returning guests a meeting fee to attend bi-monthly meetings as a non-member.  Their first visit is free and the fee is more an incentive to join GOOD rather than a revenue source.
