Efficient Designer

Develop this competency

  • Strives for simplicity
  • Designs efficient strategies, interventions and processes to facilitate a desired business outcome with the end-user in mind
  • Analyzes assumptions, facts, and context and skillfully adjusts to improve quality and inclusiveness of design and solutions
  • Applies technology and continuous improvement approaches to increase effectiveness and efficiencies
  • Uses evidence-based approaches to measure the performance of organizational processes, including quality, cycle time efficiency, inclusiveness, and effectiveness

Process Consultant

Develop this competency

  • Orients groups and group work toward the achievement of a shared goal by facilitating inclusive group processes and intervening when appropriate
  • Creates a non-threatening environment to support productive debate, the robust expression of ideas, group dialogue, and decision making
  • Encourages/supports group sensemaking, process awareness, feedback, inclusivity, appropriate use of diverse resources, and self-evaluation
  • Creates inclusive processes and structures that increase organizational and leadership capacity
  • Upholds the boundaries of the consultant’s role and assures that the client maintains ownership of the work

Data Synthesizer

Develop this competency

  • Understands and applies basic data gathering methodologies, including both qualitative and quantitative techniques (e.g., surveys, interviews/focus groups, etc.)
  • Analyzes performance, identifies the root causes of a system's current level of effectiveness, and proposes tailored solutions at all levels of the system
  • Notices similarities between different and apparently unrelated information and quickly identifies the central or underlying issues
  • Integrates and translates salient information into simple insights that create clarity and commitment
