Description

Safe Enough to Soar: Accelerating Inclusion, Trust, and Collaboration in the Workplace

  • Do you feel safe enough at work to be your best self so you can do your best work?
  • Do you feel brave enough to offer your best ideas?
  • Do you feel safe enough to report a problem?
  • What if the problem is with a colleague, manager, or leader?

Safety is the invisible issue holding organizations—and people—back. We aren’t talking about physical safety, though that is critical. What we’re talking about is the supportive, liberating safety that enables people to think big, take risks and accomplish spectacular feats. The challenging but nurturing safety that encourages speaking up and inspires people to reach for greater possibilities. We call this interaction safety.

In this session, we’ll share the concept of interaction safety and why it’s critical to organizational performance; explore the Four Levels of safety, and talk about what you as a leader, manager, team member, or individual contributor can do to increase interaction safety and move teams and organizations to higher levels of trust, collaboration, and performance.

Learning Objectives

  1. Learn about a model/framework for creating interaction safety in organizations that builds, trust, collaboration and higher performance.
  2. Diagnose where your organization is with respect to interaction safety.
  3. Discuss interventions and behaviors that support creating greater interaction safety .
